Carbonhagen 2016

...is a two day symposium on graphene ,carbon nanotubes, and other two-dimensional nanomaterials (e.g. boron-nitride, black phosphorene, molybdenum-disulfide and other TMDCs) jointly organised by Technical University of Denmark, University of Copenhagen and Århus University. The symposium will cover mechanical, electronic, chemical and optical properties, device fabrication, integration and applications of the emerging family of 2D materials.

  • Breaking news - session for unpublished or recently published results
  • 2DM IN KOREA special session. Distinguished Invited Korean speakers from the EU-Korean workshop preceeding the Carbonhagen meeting
  • A special session where Young researchers present their work and meet you afterwards at the poster session for deeper discussion.
  • The number of participants is - as usual - limited to 160, to keep the quality and intensity high

Keynote speakers

Use 40 minutes (+5 minute discussion) to overview important parts of the field in clear, pedagogical terms, rooted in their own research, and with time to share their personal views of where the research is headed, and what the main challenges are. 

Invited speakers

Have 25 minutes (+5 min discussion) for treating a topic or a cluster of topics with depth and perspective, highlighting not only the achievements but also the issues still left to solve.

Contributed speakers
Are 12 (+3 minutes discussion) single-result presentations of emerging, exciting research.

How to get a talk

While we have an official deadline for talks around mid-july, we expect to book around 2/3 of the talks ahead of the deadline, so if you are interested, or can recommend any we should consider for this years Carbonhagen, let us now:
